About Andy B.AND SoulFolk
Andy B.AND SoulFolk is the latest musical venture by Andy Bernstein, aka Andy B (top left) the longtime frontman and primary songwriter for veteran, Indie roots rockers The VooDUDES. In 2017 Bernstein released his first solo recording entitled My Roots are Showing under the stage name Andy B.AND, which received widespread internet and radio attention. Signed by INDIE ON AIR at 2019 SXSW, he released a follow up collection Look What The Cat Dragged In. The act became Andy B.AND SoulFolk with the addition of the backing band, which includes Gary Ambrosy on guitars, Paul Daloia on bass, Matty Hahn on keyboards, and Bill Homeyer on percussion. Andy B. AND SoulFolk utilizes their unique musical stylings to complement Andy's songwriting and soulful voice, making one-of-a-kind songs spanning an array of roots genres.
Andy B.AND SoulFolk have spent the post-pandemic period working on a new recording and road testing the songs live in performance at select events. Live dates include Light Of Day events, Monmouth Music & Arts Festival, Rahway Arts District Music Festival, Music In The Boro, Hunterdon Rock & Blues, and "Wood"Stock Music & Flowers.
The new recording, set to be released in 2024, is called Tellin' Myself (Weird) Li'l Stories.
Andy B's songs, which draw inspiration from Soul, Blues, Country, Folk-Rock, Reggae, and even a bit of Motown, entertain audiences with stories told in hummable melodies and big beat rhythm.
